Yes. Like most trades, we have a minimum charge which covers travel time, set-up and completing the first part of the job. After that, we can often work on an hourly or fixed-price basis, depending on the type of work.
If you have several small jobs, it’s usually best value to get them all done in one visit.
Absolutely. In fact, this is one of the main ways we work. Many customers book us to complete a small list of jobs: for example, fixing a leaking tap, adjusting a sticking door, resealing a bath and putting up a few shelves.
Just let us know what you have in mind when you contact us.
For many jobs we can provide an estimate from a short description and a couple of photos sent by email or message. For more complex or larger jobs, we may suggest a short visit to confirm what’s needed before giving a fixed quote.
You can start by using the form on our Contact page.
Yes, we’re happy to give free quotes or estimates. For straightforward jobs, this is usually done remotely from photos. For anything more involved we may need to visit first, but we’ll always tell you beforehand if that’s the case.
It depends on our current workload and the type of job. Small jobs can sometimes be fitted in quite quickly, while larger jobs may need booking further ahead. If something is urgent, let us know and we’ll tell you honestly how soon we can get there.
Payment is usually made on completion of the work by bank transfer or other agreed method. For larger jobs, we may agree staged payments depending on what’s involved. We’ll always make this clear before starting.

Yes. For landlord and agent jobs we can provide before and after photos or short notes to show what’s been done. This is especially useful for deposit discussions and your own records.
That’s entirely up to you. Some landlords prefer to handle all communication themselves, while others are happy for tenants to contact us directly once a job has been approved. We can work in whichever way suits your process best.
For landlords and agents with multiple properties, we can plan periodic visits to handle small repairs and preventative maintenance. This helps catch issues early and keeps properties in good condition.
No. We don’t take on large structural work, extensions, loft conversions or full property renovations. Our focus is on small to medium jobs, repairs and maintenance – exactly what most homes and rental properties need on a day-to-day basis.
For anything that legally requires a qualified electrician or Gas Safe engineer, we’ll always recommend the correct specialist. We may be able to assist with related making-good works once their job is complete.
We can carry out work that can be done safely using standard ladders or access equipment. Jobs that need specialist access, such as large-scale roofing or high-level external works, are not something we take on directly.
Yes, we hold appropriate public liability insurance for the type of work we carry out. If you need details for your records, we can provide them on request.
